Shopping malls and shopping streets in Berlin

There is no better place for window shopping in Germany than Berlin. Since there is existing no real shopping centre, we thought it’s about time to give a little overview.

It does not always have to be a city trip to Milan, Paris or London to be able to go on an exclusive shopping trip, because in this respect, Berlin is also an optimal place. Nowhere else in Germany can you stroll from shop window to shop window as well as in Berlin. However, since there is no direct shopping center, we thought it would be time for a little overview.

Ku’damm und KaDeWe

What is for the Düsseldorfer the Kö (Königsallee) is for the Berliners the Ku'damm (Kurfürstendamm) in the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf the City West. It has its name, because it was created in 1542 as a bridle path for the spa master Joachim II of the Berlin City Palace to the hunting lodge Grunewald. Today it is the most famous and popular shopping street in Berlin and international designers such as among other things Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier and Rolex present their luxurious dresses, shoes and jewelery here in large shopping windows.

Mall of Berlin

A stay at The Mandala Hotel, can be combined very well with a shoipping day in the Mall of Berlin, because it is located only about 5 minutes by foot from us at the Leipziger Platz. The Mall of Berlin was only opened at the end of 2014 and offers a comprehensive shopping experience with almost 300 shops. There's nothing the credit cards would not like.
